Published the book "Aspectos legales de la computación en la nube", in English: "Legal Aspects of cloud computing".

The book was launched at the XV Iberoamerican Conference of Legal Informatics which was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in September this year. The book deals with data protection issues and the general intellectual property framework in the European legislation as a spin-off our European funded project OPTIMIS where the authors are in charge of all the legal issues.

The OPTIMIS baseline paper is listed as one of the 25 most read in FGCS over the last few years

This is the first edition of the SOFI newsletter. The goal of SOFI is to complement EU R&D projects in the area of Internet of Services, Software and Virtualisation (Objective 1.2) through specific support activities.

European Cloud Projects Center Stage in Timisoara

During the second week of June, Timisoara (Romania) hosted the Second Workshop on Software Services: Cloud Computing and Applications based on Software Services. This WoSS event was dedicated to cloud computing and applications using the current major EU Funded Projects as a reference.

We were looking for a Cloud provider to participate in two use cases: cloud bursting and cloud brokerage. The new partner will join the OPTIMIS consortium by 1^st of June.
