Second Optimising Cloud Services Workshop

Oct 26 2011
Wed, 26/10/2011 - Fri, 28/10/2011
Poznan, Poland

Clouds are on the way to replace traditional IT infrastructures for providing and consuming all sorts of services in research and commercial environments. As scope and complexity of both offerings and requirements increase technology is needed allowing to (automatically) optimise such Cloud environments in multiple dimensions, e.g. in terms of the infrastructure, management of trust, security and risk, service deployment and provisioning, guarantees for QoS, federation of clouds and reliable and efficient selection mechanisms for bursting into the Cloud. Today, there already is research in several areas as well as a number of ongoing national, international and European projects. The workshop aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to exchange research results and experience. The workshop will address Cloud-related topics like Trust and security, Risks, risk assessment and risk management, QoS and service configuration, Service deployment and service configuration, Cloud monitoring and run-time optimisation, Managing software licenses for commercial applications, Cloud programming models, Cloud Service Level Agreements.

PROCEEDINGS

Accepted papers are will be published in Springeros LNCS Service Science series after the workshop.
